I seem to be getting weak burns when doing mp3 to audio on my new writer. The compatibility with a number of players is poor (can't pick up start of cd). The appearance of the burned sector v unburned sector is fairly slight compared to cds burned with my old philips cdr804k.

ne1 else have this experience or suggestions?

Packard Bell 450mhz PIII
128Mb RAM
Liteon/ JLMS 166s dvdrom
Liteon 48125s
Nero 5.5.10

read speeds 32-48x on 166s
write 16x (tried 4-12x also)

media tried kodak gold 12x, tdk metal 48x,varbatim datalife plus24x, datasafe silver premium 48x, imation 32x, fws 40x.

mainly done on the fly but I get same results from .wav image, or write from mp3 on hd.

the unreliability of my audio burns is driving me mad!

n e other info required for a diagnosis then please ask.

thanks,:furious:

Perhaps it could be a bad burner, some have had malfunctions due to the laser using an incorrect intensity beam and thus creating incorrect burns
