Jaymus Jan 27, 2003, 06:46 PM Yes, it's in the settings menu of evox.ini (System settings I think) or you can edit evox.ini Do full duplex when you network to it also from the PC rich-t Jan 28, 2003, 08:33 AM Probably your network card is configured in windows to run at half duplex. You need to change that to be configured to full duplex. Its in the properties somewhere for your network card. rich-t dc4less Jan 28, 2003, 09:26 AM Thanks rich-t I was having the same problem. Not anymore. Justink2k Jan 28, 2003, 08:33 PM hey guys, im having hexact same problem, where is the settings? im looking all over for it (im in control panel, and i did properties on my lan, but cant find it!!) Jaymus Jan 28, 2003, 08:37 PM do properties on your network card. It depends what OS you have. You might have to goto Device Manager and right click on the network card. Just look around or goto MS website to find how to adjust that kind of stuff. You'll find it. Justink2k Jan 28, 2003, 09:11 PM na, im in the network card properties, and all it has is ip configuration ect. Im using win xp. Im pretty sure device manager will give me same properties as ncard (oh, and i checked all the advanced tabs there too) Solosmooth Jan 28, 2003, 09:30 PM In WINXP go to control panel and doble click on Network Connections. Now you'll see Local Area Connection, right click and go to properties. In the General Tab you'll see your network card. Go ahead and click on configure. Choose Advanced tab. In the Property window choose Connection Type. You can now change your setings. 100-Base TX 100-Base TX Full Duplex 10 Base T 10 Base T Full Duplex Auto Sense BadBhoy Jan 29, 2003, 02:39 AM According to my EvoX dashboard I am on half-duplex. Yet when transferring files - I get an 8Mbit transfer rate (about 1020KB/s). I'll try putting on the full duplex - but since the nic card in the box is only 10Mbit (i think) I doubt there will be any significant performance increase. BadBhoy Jan 29, 2003, 02:54 AM Right just tested it out. I run Win XP Have a 1Mbit cable line going into a 10base Nic card 10/100base nic card then to hub hub then to X-Box (i think is 10base) Leaving the 2nd nic card in 'auto mode' means I get transfer rate of 1020KB/s (about 8Mbit). Going into EvoX dash - it says the line is running 10/half-duplex Changing the nic card properties to force 10/ful-duplex had the opposite effect for me. transfer rate plumetted to only 105KB/s (about 0.8Mbit). Weird I know - but thats how it works on my machine. So maybe try a few different combinatios to see which results in the best transfer rates for you. Jaymus Jan 29, 2003, 02:09 PM I always only get average of 1600Kb/s no matter what I do. (From XBox DVD to PC HD) bigtem Jan 30, 2003, 08:39 AM i was having major probs, so bought a new network card. i run win 2000 and set properties to auto detect, and i got 2470kb/s according to flash fxp :hdspin: Alexoi Jan 30, 2003, 02:32 PM Originally posted by Jaymus I always only get average of 1600Kb/s no matter what I do.
