Hello - I was thinking about getting a modded X-Box with a X-cuter Pro or something like that. I just wanted to know if it was like a PS2 modded system where you just put the game in and start up the system or if you had to do anything else - also - does the chip hinder the x-box from doing anything it is supposed to do? yep you can just put the game in the drive and start the system up and it will work, the only thing that it will stop you from doing is playing on xbox live!

Is there something like an external mod that you can turn off and on? My friend thought he heard about one and i wasnt sure - thanks for your reply

It's not an external mod, but a switch that's mounted on the case so you can switch it off, the mod is still inside. But, yes, you can install a mod disable switch on most mods.

There isn't necessarily the external mod but you can modify one with switches to turn it on or off. By the way just so you know you need to hook up the xbox to your computer and let the drive on the xbox read it to your harddrive via ethernet port (You can't just pop an xbox game into a dvd drive on your computer and have it write to your harddrive and then write from harddrive to your burner). I just wanted to let you know that because I bought an xbox thinking that I could simply get a plug in mod and use the nero program and my dvd burner to read games and then burn them. go to www.xbox-scene.com for more info. Yes, it boots just like originals, or like a no-swap PS2 chip. Put in the disc and it will boot.
