Section "Apps"
{
# Item "DVDX","f:\Applications\dvdx\default.xbe"
SortAll
AutoAddItem "f:\applications\"
}
{
# Item "XBMP","e:\XBMP\default.xbe"
SortAll
AutoAddItem "e:\Apps\"
}
}
}

The DVDX one was already in the file without me touching it.
I tried adding the XBMP but it doesn't work.

I placed all XBMP files into e:\XBMP on the X-Box

Tanks in advance

well you closed off the apps section by putting the "}" after your "f:\applications\"

you need to add your xbmp item within the original brackets and close it off after. i'm not sure and maybe someone can verify, but doesn't the "#" comment out the line?

Yup - that done the trick.

I took out the top one too as it was obviously just for demonstration purposes.

Now I just need to figure out how to stream the movies from both my comps HD, and from DVD-R .avi compilations :)

I found out today me drive reads CD-R's no bother either :) so plenty more movies available from before I had the DVD burner ;)

Just put mediaplayer on your XBox and Relax streamer on your PC, you'll be streaming pics/audio/video in no time.

There is an FAQ on that in the FAQ thread.

I had a quick look on the FAQ and didn't see anything specific about streaming from the HD (probably just me being blind).

But, thanks to you mentioning the 'Relax Streamer' proggy for the PC - I put in a search for it on google and wow - makes it all automatic and easy.

You can even use the DVD Remote (with the official DVD kit thingy) with all of these files :)
