My system:
- Dell XPS T500
- Windows ME
- Nero 5.5.9.9
- Plextor 16/10/40A
Medium:
- SAST cdr 870 MB 99 minutes
My problem:
The plexy don't recognize the 99 minute cdr. It says it's a 80 minute disc.
Wrong software - or wrong disc?

Greets :) "MOST" burners only support up to 90 mins on a 99 Min Disk with a few excpetions ( Liteon, Mitsumi <-- use to not still sure they do ect ect)
I snagged this from a site selling 99 min disk!!
* New 99 minutes, 870MB CD-R. Up to 40X recording. To make a 90 or above CDR, you have to use NERO 5.5.4.0 or above that supports overburning. Set max. CD length to 99min, you also have to burn under "Disc at Once" mode, and at 8x speed or under.
snagged the some where else
OverSize a CD-R using Nero
Perform the following steps to perform an OverSized CD-Copy:
Start Nero
From the action-bar select File and select Preferences.
In the Preferences window, select Expert Features (or Advanced settings for older versions) and select the Enable oversize disc... feature.
Choose a Maximum CD Length and click OK (82:59:59 is the maximum value that can be entered) and be aware of the risks explained in the warning.
From the action-bar select File and select CD Copy.
A window will appear when a CD is copied which is bigger than 74 minutes, click [OK] to start the oversize copy.
The OverSize feature also works fine when creating your own projects.
Keep in mind that it will only work with CD-Writers that support OverSizing.
Good Luck
[Edit] This #(82:59:59 is the maximum value that can be entered) can be set all the way up to 99 mins
And you will also find alot of cdrom(s) can't read these disk either you may have to use the burner to read the disk after you burn it!!

Thank you very much for your reply. It worked. Great job!
Even my CD-player is accepting the 99 min disc.
I'm a lucky man :)
