If a dvd is in NTSC format is it the same as region 1?

I have a trader in the US who converts certain concerts onto NTSC dvdr disks. I was wondering if these would play ok in my standalone dvd player.

Its a multi regional dvd player so ?????

NTSC is the Video resolution/refresh rate standard and has no bearing on the actual Zone Region number.
Pretty much any DVD player can play NTSC DVD it's a matter of your television displaying it correctly. Again though there are only a few older TV's with scart input that can not display NTSC. You'd be very unlucky if your TV/DVD did not.
