Probably not possible as Sony is one of the brands that don't allow any hacking of any kind. Perhaps a chip mod is available though.

Use a search engine to look for RPCDE. It is a small util to allow any DVD drive to accept any region. I just used it for my reader.

I hope it is ok to post this as it is freeware. If I should not have I will delete the thread if a mod requests it.
