We have just received 5 "custom built" cCPU's for our user group.
They came with Nero Basic or what ever it is called.
When I take a CDR with a lesson plan to theseCPU's and and insert in tin the drives I can not write to them. They were created using Roxio 5.2.
When I do try and save to them and it does not work I saeem to have problems with using then again on my computer with roxio.
Also does anyone know how to set up Nero for multi-session writing?

First you have to have a disc that was created as Multisession, you can not multisession a disc that was previously created as a single session disc.
Second I've never tried to add a new session to a disc using different software from the one used to create the disc so I've no idea if it will even work.
To set up Nero for Multisession just click on the 'continue multisession' option in the burn type list (ie the one with ISO9660, VideoCD, Audio etc).
Also did you use Roxio to create a Multisesion disc or did you use DirectCD to format it for packet writting?. You can not multisession a disc that has been formatted for packet writting.

You mentioned Formatting and multi-session, I'm trying to work out which one you actually used because you can't do both things to one disc.
If you format a disc then you are preparing it for packet writting. Packet writting means that you can 'drag and drop' files from windows explorer onto the disc. Infact you can write to the disc just like it was just a large floppy disc.
Multi-session on the otherhand means that you intent to put data (files) to the disc in a number of descreet batches. So on 'Day 1' you would put a blank (non-formatted) disc in, and select 'start multi-session' in Nero or Roxio EasyCD, then selecting all the data you wanted to put on use the burning software to write all those files onto the disc in one session. The on 'Day 2' you would select 'Continue Multi-session' in the burning software and add some more files.
So in Packet writting you format the disc and write files at any time. In Multi-session you do not format and you have to write files in sessions (ie all of them at once).
If you Formatted the Disc using Nero then do not use Roxio to add more files, simply use Windows Explorer and 'Drag and drop' the new files to the CD Burner.
If you did not format the disc, but rather started a multi-session disc (ie a disc in which you intend to burn a number of descreet sessions over different days), then I'll have to look into it. As I said I've never tried to start a disc using one burning programme and continue it using another.
