View Full Version : Old CDROM Read CDR?

stncttr908 Jan 30, 2003, 10:59 PM I'm going to be reformatting an older PC and reinstalling windows 98SE on it. The CDROM is only a 4x, and was manufactured back in 1995. Would this drive be able to read a CDR burned in Mode2? Thanks in advance. Darkman Jan 31, 2003, 12:41 AM No. Most CDRoms slower than 8x are not built to handle CDR/RW discs.
