Keep an eye on officemax and staples as they periodically have specials on the cendyne105 (pioneer105). After tax, instore discount and mail-in rebate the drive should cost you between $180-$200. I have heard of $160 special recently but I can't remember where it was being held. Can anyone confirm where this is? I hope this helps

The rebate suck. Usually it's 230 out the door (that's with tax) and you get the rebate like in 2 month. When people say it's 160, that's misleading, since you're gonna invest 230 when you actually buy it. Two month is along time for a 50 dollar bonus, which will probably be use to buy dvdr.

Yeah that's true allright but then again that is the nature of rebates. Mine is supposed to arrive sometime within the next 25 days (They e-mailed me a few days ago to let me know the rebate was valid). Still not a bad price on a great drive at $230 and when you get your rebate it's a nice discount on your next purchase (or purchases depending on what kind of media you get). How are do you like your drive by the way DR69On?
