I have been using Memorex Music Cd 80min 16x and have had no problems with them playing in various players...now the last two I burned will not play in car/stand alone players.... I am using Plextor 12x10x12 with EasyCd Creator 5.0..My OS XP professional, AMD 2000, 512 Ram. Need help..Thanks Pat

In checking my completed cd (burned) I find that the music is still in MP3 format and have been told that the mp3 will not play on a stand alone is that correct?? I was also told that the burner/software should convert the MP3 to a Wav file...is that correct???? If the burner does not do this how do I convert the files to Wav?. Although I have been burning CD's for about two years I am certainly not an expert and would appreciate help...As I mentioned in my post I have never had this problem....Thanks....Pat

Most newer stand alone home CD players and several car CD players can play mp3 formats but it isn't a standard yet. If your not sure if yours will or not, look at the manual.

Most burning software these days will convert MP3's to the audio format.
If you want to make a CD with MP3's choose the data burning format. If you want them to be converted to the audio format, choose to burn an audio CD.
