about half of the time when i go to shut down my cpu it restarts instead. I'm running xp pro. also every once in a while when i go to boot it acts like it isn't detecting my memory and it hangs on the bootup screen. i eventually have to open up my case and reseat the memory a couple of times and eventually it boots up. it'll be fine for a month or so and it will do it again.....any ideas?

About the memory, I have no idea, maybe check if you are placing it correctly, and the plastic things that grab the memory in place, are actually grabbing it.
