I ordered some goods from a well known company, assured by them it will be with me on Friday, nothing came, now its Tuesday, and I get email from them, telling me its not their fault that I didnt get my goods, instead, gave me the courier's numbers and order reference and that I should go chase my own order.

Is this normal practice ? I always thought that if you order something, its the sellers responsibilty to ensure you received the goods, for the transaction to be completed. after all, whats the point to blame the courier company for the delay, as its not the customers responsbility to track and trace the goods they paid for already.

I had a lost order once.I couldn't do anything to find it,because I was not the "shipper" even though I was the one that paid the shipping!I had to cancel the charges on my credit card.I was given the invoice, tracking number and shippers id,but UPS said sorry, you are not our customer!

First thing today I call their courier company, first the woman said the driver been twice already and left a call-card, then she changed her story and said the address she has is not my address, but promised to call back, after almost an hour waiting, I decided to call Big Pockets, lady on the phone said they will call me back, yes, you guessed, no call, now the courier company call back and said they have FOUND my order, with the CORRECT address on it. I do not blame Big Pockets for this as clearly they have send my order on the date stated, but using a cowboy company to deliver their goods surely does not give them a good reputation, as well as leaving the customers to find their own order, after all, the sales transaction is between the customer and the supplier, its up to the supplier to ensure the customers get the goods they ordered and paid for.
Hopefully, after a whole week , I may finally see my paid for goods, all thanks to my wasted hours on the phone.
Its funny that we use eBuyer every week and we never have any real trouble, and when we did, they even refund our delivery charges

Uhmm, not sure on that check their t&c's but I would of thought that the goods remain the property of the supplier until you have signed to say that ownership has been transfered to you. I have spent a lot of money with ebuyer over the last 3 months (approx 3k) and I think that their services have gone down hill rapidly, my last two order from them have been delivered incomplete although stated as being complete, once the couriers fault and second time despatch fault. It seems to me that most etailers customer services are sh$t, it's ok until something goes wrong..

I placed an order Thursday at pcmicrostore.com and their policy is to ship the same day or the next day. Yeah, it didn't go out until last night. That gripes me. Another one the UPS guy overlooked it in the truck. What fun.
