ok i was after a dansai but all the tescos round here are out of them so are any other supermarkets or maybe ritcher sounds selling a cheap one that plays vcds and sdvdrs and so on ?anyone point me in the right direction,im in south east london if that helps

if you can, get one of the apex online. don't know if u guys have this brand in uk.

get the cheap one from argos, cant remember what it is called, alba thats it! multi-region out of the box get the 114, i think that plays vcd, i havent tried it.

ps. this should probably be in consumer opinions.

Had the above for about 6 months and plays any xvcd I throw at it.

apex 1500 plays virtually anything cept divx and goes for cheap under 100 bucks

I got the cyberhome 500 for about $60, it plays vcds, svcd, mp3s and jpg images on cd, plus DVDs of course. Every type of cd I've tried has worked.

I'm going to move this to the Consumer's Opinion forum.

Get yourself down to your local richersounds mate and pick up a cyberhome adl528 (i think) for £69.99 or a toshiba sd220 E for £99.99
