ive got a ps2 fitted with neo 4 modechip,

well it boots dvd films ok,

but if i put a backup in it wont boot it its just a black screen?

any ideas?

to play dvd-r, u have to use a special method - Load up ps2 to browser screen holing reset (i think) 2. press eject and put in a big toc original game ie. dmc or dmc demo. 3. wait 10-15secs. 4 relese reset and replace ur game with ur backup. slect the dvd image to play. im not sure but i think thats the method. only for dvd-r, cd-r should boot automatically.

cd-rs should boot, the chip may be installed incorrectly, did you cut the required tracks? And solder all 44 wires.
