I guess this is just a rumors from Bill Gate becuz he want us to think that the x-box console worth more than 300 bucks, which means should cost 400 dollars........

since the price have dropped to 200, Bill Gate wants us to still think that it cost 300 bucks becuz he lose a 100 bucks for each system..... which means that it's always being above the PS2.......

Yeah dude I heard this when X-Box was $300. There were some rumors going aroung that the machine cost like $500 to make and he was losing $200 on each. They said who cares because he would make his money on games and on X-Box Live. I don't have an X-Box yet but will get one soon. Thanx.

doesnt this go with all consoles though? or is the x-box jus a lot superior hardware-wise? anyways, as mentioned above the software and other accessories usually help to gain some of the money lost in the process.

Yeah you are right... it goes for all the systems. As time goes on though the loss is less and less. PS2 is just about breaking even now if not making a little money. The Cube is still losing too.... :round:

I don't think they loose that much, the prices of the parts of the systems may seem high to use, but to Sony, Nintendo, and Microsoft, they don't pay the same price we pay. For a 40gig Harddrivr for the PS2, it cost us about 100$, but Sony pays about 20-30$

All These Companies Use A Thing Called Cheap Labor...
So Dont Let What They Tell Pull A Big Sheet Over Your Eyes...
It Is Called Child Labor or An Adult Whos Yearly Earnings May Buy Him One Of These Systems They Sell Over Here In The States For $150 - $200...
After All Is Said And Done Cost Of Making These Systems May Be Almost $100.00 And That Is Stretching it!!!!!

The companys dont make money off selling systems, almost all of the money made is from games.
