Hi I have tested with a lot of different media lately and all the ritek based discs are good. At the moment www.121cdr.co.uk are doing yellow top datawrite 1 x which are excellent and also fws, datasafe ritek 4x which also burn well. Compatibility with dvd players is good too with these discs. Bulkpaq were good on the a03 and a04 but dont waste your money putting them in the a05 as they dont play back on dvd players and sometimes burn in a strange way especially the green bulkpaq. I just sent 100 back because of this.

I just bought 50 yellow datawrites from SVP and none would work on my 105. They all had a cloudy ring, some gave 'power calibration error'. I'm using firmware 1.0

You need firmware 1.21 so that your A05 recognises the latest dvd-r's, I just upgraded mine and the yellow datawrites work great. I was a bit nervous about the firmware update but just flashed it and it was worth it.

Thanks for that cdrwizard =)
I too am nervous of flashing due to some of the horror stories on here, but if it makes these disks work (and 50 for £29) I'll do it.
Thanks for that =)
