Hey, subject might sound sorta wierd, but... the dvd drive in my computer seems to be able to handle a broader range of recordable media, and with greater ease. I was wondering....if I hook my tv up to a graphics card (with tv out, of course) and played the dvd on the computers dvd drive, would the picture quality displayed on the tv be the same as when I played a movie on my standalone dvd player?

i have 2 out leads on my pc one at the bottom back and one a bit higher, the one a bit higher is my gfx card output which i cant make display on my tv, bu the bottom one does, i dont think u get good quality of of pcs anyway, the out lead is a yellow aux lead gives a fuzzy picture, unless a pc has s-vid out or something better i doubt the quality will get better

I think to get optimum quality on your TV. You need to put th resolution on your pc to 800 X 600.
