Can anybody give me a few pointers on what kind of a system i will need to build/buy, just to burn dvd`s. I`ve got the drive and will be getting a pioneer 105, i just need to know what to put with them, m,board, pcu, memory, hard drive etc. I want to link it to my existing monitor by a 2 way switch if it`s poss.

you are looking at speed when re-encoding, (about 80% of movies) so really you are looking for amd athlon xp2000+, 512 mg ram, cheapo M/B, 7200 rpb H/D, 40 gig min, video card capable of high res to veiw movies properly. thats what i have and have no probs.
software side:
smartripper
re-mpeg-2
spruce-up
ifo.edit
prassi or nero 17
basically as per risardec's recomendations - i've got a 104, got it three months ago, and i've got over 200 DVD movies, i'm not going to tell you how many are "back-ups"!
