I have a Creative Labs Geforce 2 GTS and am thinking of upgrading, but have a buget of around £60 - £70.

I fancy one of those Geforce 4 MX 64 mb.

Just wondering if it will be faster than the one I have at the minute.

Thanks in advance.

correct me if I'm wrong but I think the old gf2 outprformed the gf4 mx in a tomshardware 3dmark test about 18 months ago?

You'll probably get a slight performance increase but certainly not enough to warrant an upgrade. It's not worth the money and time to upgrade to a GF4 MX. Look for a better card.

You'll get a decrease.

The G4 MX rus a little faster than the G2mx, but not faster than the GTS and Ultra

Will I get one of these from a computer fair?

I have heard that the Geforce 4 mx, isnt actually a Geforce 4, but just uses the name!!

Your right m8 the Ge-Force 4 mx is alot more like a Ge-Force 2 then a proper Ge-Force 4 it's not even Directx8 compatible let alone directx9.

My cousin just bought a gf4 mx and my old Radeon 7500 wipes the floor with it.
