Mate bought a HP from Currys for £899. Celeron 1.5/256/DVD/RW. Had a go and seems good for money. Other mate had 1.8 P4 Toshiba with 15" screen but was £1399. I think they have one about £1000?

You would get a Tiny one which are good but not good costomer care if goes wrong!!
