A very good friend of mine bought a DVDRom from Overcl*ckers.co.uk
When it arrived it seemed to be faulty - so sent it back telling them that he didn't want it - as their customer service and tech support didn't seem to care if it worked or not.
They then tried to send it back to him - suprise suprise - 'No Fault Found'
He tried to stop them sending it back - explaining again that he had stated in his return letter that he didn't want it and had sourced one from a better, more customer focused supplier - but their attitude was tough - you ordered it, you have to keep it!!!
He explained again to them regarding the sale of goods act regarding distance selling and the 7 days return clause - and again they said tough
They sent the item back out to him - but he refused to accept it from Royal Mail when they tried to re-deliver it.
But Guess what - and this is the worrying thing - because they had his credit card details on file they used them to charge him for the return/ handling /checking or whatever of the DVDRom with out his approval
So he has been charged about £43+ for the original purchace and a further unauthorised charge of £17+ for a DVDRom he doesn't even have
So Beware of OVERCL*CKERS.CO.UK they don't give a sh*t about the customer and don't think twice about taking unapproved payments using credit card details that they hold on file
sorry that is the end of my rant - :furious:
We won't be using them ever again or recommend them to anyone:tdown:
the CC company are investigating the matter - they aren't very happy either
