can someone recommend a really good HSF? i have a amd 1900+. temp gets up to 50 degrees sometimes. i would like to keep it down a little cooler. i may overclock it soon. but i need to fell safe with cooler temps. noise really won't bother me. i have 2 kids that make more noise then a fan could. maybe it will drown them out for a bit.
thanks!!!!!!!!

There are many good heatsinks available, I personally use THERMALTAKE, COOLMASTER, ALPHA.
Your best bet is check out people like:
www.overclockers.co.uk
www.coolingshop.co.uk
www.overclock.co.uk
See what they recommend & whats on offer. I always use a good heatsink with the Athlon XP's (xp1800 & over). They do like to get very hot.
Be prepared to pay around the £25 - £30+ mark for a good quality heatsink.

i think the thermaltake V7+, or pretty much any thermal product are crap
IMO.
if you want the absolute best, get an SLK800, the best heatsink on the
market (besides the SLK900), and only 30$.

then hook yourself up with a nice, and quiet fan. an SLK 800 won't need
a loud arse fan to keep the CPU cool.
quiet fan on the cheap

more expensive, but super quiet
