Hope and pray you don't have to cos they are sh$te when it comes to customer support/warranty returns m8 :(...
IE, LiteOn 24102b "could take upto 6 weeks for replacement", receive goods, inspect and test, get replacement sent. If you want evidence no problem. EBuyer are much better with their RMA procedure but again their customer support/services are cr@p.
Sorry going off on one, uhmm Western Digital would be my choice their SE range of drives are excellent in terms of performance/price,8mb buffer,7200rpm,3 year warranty. The two drives I looked at where the WD & Maxtor 120gb WD=3 Years warranty Maxtor=1 Year Warranty.Nothing against Maxtor at all as I own 3 myself but prefer WD.

skeggs Feb 11, 2003, 11:53 AM i agree, i've recently read that western dig are regarded as top drives at the minute.
i would also keep away from ibm drives, had some bad issue's with them.
i also like fujitsu, theyre quality.
_0-0_ Feb 13, 2003, 12:10 PM i run a 30GB IBM deskstar and let me tell u, it suck, too much noice. I just bought a Maxtor 120GB resently and so far it's good. I had an old WD at 8GB and it died out on me, i'm one of those that have bad experience with WD :)
ps2wiz Feb 13, 2003, 04:33 PM Get a Western Digital w/8 MB buffer.....period.
