I am going nuts trying to figure out what I need for this device. I have sony supressa cd rom enclosure which model number is crx100e/x. It doesnt have the regular cd/rw in it, I put a regular 50x cdrom in it.
It is usb interface. Win me recognized it just fine. But I wanted to go back to win98 and all it recognizes it as is an unknown device under usb. I have tried everything I can think of to try but am unable to get it to register as a cd rom. Can someone pleaseeeeeeeee help.

sounds like you just need to install the driver for 98.

do you still have the CD it came with?

No I dont have the cd for the enclosure, but I have tried probably 2 dozen ones off of the net still no go.
