any help appreciated winmx is the slowest..i have bt broadband but it always takes weeks if it all to download movies etc..never get a speed above 9 kbs....

I think BT 'cap' P2P dont they? That could be the problem.

It has nothing to do with the programs, if your getting a "rare" file (only like one source) then the speed will be what ever the other person can ul at. But if you have 40 sources (k++) all downloading at just 5kbs, well u do the math, it should max out ur dl speed. Just stick to commoner files.

Its because with winmx you can set your max upload speed to 0.001 bps and thats why its so slow because most people set it really low you cant set it as low as that on the other p2p.

Its the reason why winmx clients are banned from some p2p networks too.
