Does anyone know if pinnacle instant copy will do a 1:1 copy of a series dvd with different episodes on it or is it only limited to normal films?

yup. It copies everyhthing on the DVD. I did band of brothers disk 1 last night and it worked fine.

yeah i did sex and the city last night disc one, the result was ok, picture was watchable but had some loss of quality

You'll need to rip them to your hard drive first with a program like smartripper or dvd decrypter.

I use dvd decrypyter myself.

I did toy story 2 came out great after putting it through pinnacle instant copy

Used DVD decryptor and pinnacle to copy league of gentlemen series 1. Copied great, although quality wasn't too hot (not as good as some VCDs I've seen to be honest).
Probably better quality will be achieved when doing films, especially if you choose to omit some extras. LOG1 is a pretty full disk, with no extras to ommit.
This definatley gets my vote for easiest copying tool. Even my missus can use it while Iim in work =D

I use the CCE +IFOEDIT method which has pro's and cons,pro's fantastic quality,cons takes a while!
I've not seen the quality of picture with either instant copy or dvd2 one sounds like dvd2one is better quality but can't do a whole disc whereas instant copy can but quality suffers.
It's all going in the right direction though,did cold feet series 1-3 and on series 3 disc 1 the sound is just on one of the episodes..nightmare done it twice still won't sync...the joys.
I assume you use decrypter in File mode?/ might try one at some point,anyway you gotta hand it the people who are creating these progs,save alot of time for people and for newer users saves them having to learn alot of progs to get true 1:1 or film only dvdrs.
