yeh no probs

dvd decrypter
select all files and rip to a folder

dvd2one
source
my newly de crypted file

destination
VIDEO_TS folder i created

choose the largest file from the list

choose my audio, subtitles and angle options
and away it goes

prassi
open data option and drag
my VIDEO_TS and an empty AUDIO_TS folders

and record onto my free pioneer dvd-rw disc i got wiv the burner

after burning u can check the dvd-rw all the files seem to be
there it just wont play.
dont know if it makes any difference bot the film is stuart little
anyone had probs wiv this

cheers in advance again fatboyslim

sound like your doing everything the same as I 'm doing, but I 've never needed to use the empty AUDIO_TS directory. YES you can use DVD-RW's to write on they play back perfectly ,Ideal for testing instead of ending up with a pile of expensive coasters.Personally I would check every stage to see where it's falling over .Once it's decrypted try playing it using play dvd files on hard drive from within your player ,If okay then DVD2ONE and repeat as above until you find your problem . Hope this helps

good bit of info m8

just tryed my VIDEO_TS folder and the vobs play fine on
windows media player
so i thinks the problem is either the burn to disc
or the disc itself

u agree?what option dya reckon ive got?
bite the bullet and go for a burn on dvd-r?
got some fws4X so might try that

cheers fatboyslim

just found summit else out??
if i open one of the vob files from the disc it plays with windows media
but if i try and just play the disc it wont have it??

any idea's anyone??

really you should try the VIDEO_TS.IFO not the VOB's as this will let you play the whole film through checking chapter points ,use you PC's dvd player and play files from hard drive and this is what your player looks for not VOB's

right again m8

film plays fine of the hdd can choose chaters etc
so back to the original problem its either a burning to
disc prob or a disc itself prob?

Hold the phone. You say you burned it to a DVD-RW disk? Not DVD-R right? What are you trying to read the DVD-RW in? Is it not reading it in the DVD burner? What DVD Program are you trying to play it in, and what error are you getting? Have you tried drag and dropping the VOB from the disk into your DVD player?

i know that dvd2one says not to use nero to burn the dvd files it creates but i have found that burning using 5.5.9.17 works for me opposed to using prassi or recordmax for some reason. i use nero express, click on dvd, navigate to the folder, choose it and burn and have no problems. got a coaster trying to use prassi method.

using a pioneer dvd-rw disc that came wiv my a05 burner and using the same drive to read, using sonic cine player which come with the burner
but also tried windows media player
have tried the vob files from the disc in media player and they will play fine
but if i try and play the ifo file it just locks on playing but no picture and time counter stays at zero same on media player and sonic. if i use the ifo file from my VIDEO_TS folder on the hdd plays ok and chapters can be selected as normal
so pressume it must be a fault on the burning of the ifo file?
not got a clue really but using the process of elimination think this is all it can be

bomber m8 have not tried nero but have a copy of it here so might give it a whirl later thanx

I was going to say as soon as I read you were using cineplayer to get a different player and I bet it will work.
