:furious: TRIPLE X PROBLEM!! Can anyone please help me out here, I am so stuck that even quick sand looks like ice cream to me right now !! ( yeah-I know, where the hell did that come from !!)

I am using DVD Decrypter & DVD2ONE to rip DVD's, so far without a problem....until I did triple X. The film rips fine, good quality etc. Problem I have is that when the Russian blokes are talking at the start of the film, and also when they are chasing vin on the bike, the english translation aint popping up at the bottom of the screen.

This is driving me nuts, as apart from that the rest is fine !!
Please help.....please !!!!!!

did you include english subtitles when you used dvd2one? i notice when i did attack of the clones without english subs that when the aliens were talking and there were supposed to be subs, there were none. i think that you still need the file even if you dont have it active on screen to get that part of the movie to show.

After I have ripped the movie onto my HDrive, I quickly checked it using PowerDVD. Just played the first VOB file, and there was no actual english translation. So this missing subs are missing even before I have used DVD2ONE..................any ideas?

what program are you using to rip with what settings. i use smartripper, click files, click all, and rip to wherever you want to save it. after that is done follow the dvd2one instructions and when you choose the movie file which is the largest one with highest number of chapters you should get multiple language tracks and subtitles to choose from. just include english subs so they are included in the movie even if you dont intend to use them. the subs you want should come up in those parts of the movie.

I shall give that a try mate. At the momment I am using DVD Decrypter, usually default setting for IFO. I did try it in all files mode, but when I played the vob once again the english translation wasnt there.
I will give it a go with smart ripper then instead.

should the english translation show when playing a vob file, or only after DVD2ONE has sorted it out?

Had a go with the smartripper........erm...ok.....how does that work......its mental!!! Anyhow, since you mentioned file mode, etc, I have gone back to dvd decrypter and have started to rip it in file mode, I have also selected all files as you said you did with smartripper. I will then use DVD2ONE, and see what happens !!

they basically do the same thing except with different commands so if you do it in file mode with dvd dycrypter is should be fine. i just prefer smartripper myself. im not sure if you have to change any setting like smartripper which you have to increase the max file size from 4 gig to stream larger movies.

finally........at long last........it works!!!!!!!!!! Seems to ensure that you have the subs included you have to go to file mode and select everything. Just takes a bit longer as its ripping 8gb, but I don't mind when the end result is ok. Cheers for all your help bomber, much appreciated.
