I am new to WinXP so forgive me if the topic has been discussed before, though I could not find a previous thread

MB: ASUS P4S8X with CMI 9739 Audio Codec
DirectX 8.1

Going into System-System Properties-Hardware-Peripherals-Audio Codecs-Properties I access a series of 11 codecs (first is imaadp32.acm).
If I select Properies of each codec I get a message saying that Driver is enabled but not working correctly.

Sound functions such as reproducing any musical file format with WMP or system sounds are working correctly.
