after a few days of researching ive come up with a possibility.. which sounds like it should work.
ok here it goes
the n64 emu out right now.. that daedelous X... it runs real shitty cuz someone leaked it and the author stoped working on it it.. currently.. thats the only one that i know of.
well
i'm thinking.. theres gotta be a way to run 64 games.. i mean, u can on a computer which has relatively the same specs as an xbox (which is why i need the spec info, thank you)
heres what i came up with
theres a linux for xbox which can be installed and works successfully, i understand that u need some usb ports installed in ur xbox for a keyboard and such(no biggie)
i went into looking for n64 emus for linux.
i found a few which needed the followin specs to run a n64 rom
atleast at 700 mhz processor (didnt say it needed a pentium)
ok so xbox can run it
it also stated it need 64 mb minimum of ram (which xbox has)
and it need just a video card with 3d capability
so xbox has the required stats for this emulator
so why not just install an n64 emu with roms into linux on xbox and play the roms thru linux?
it might take a bit of fooling around to port the xbox controller to make it work with the emulator.. but it should work
the n64 emulators i found contain sound, full color... everything the daedelous version doesnt have.. so finally we should be able to play n64 flawlessly on the box
im gunna start working on this project today.. it might be a while.. but ill figure it out
