I was wondering if its worth the 350 dollars to get a sony dvd + and - burner or if I should just stick to the dvd - burner I really would like some responses to see if its worth the extra money if you guys could help any thanks!!

You should have no trouble making backups on DVD-R media and with the Cendyne105 (Pioneer105) going for $189.94 (or less if you can get a coupon code to work) I don't think it will kill you not to have the DVD+R feature. Both drives are awesome but for what you are looking at DVD-R will be just fine (Use Ritek silvertop media, Verbatim or Fujifilm). try www.allmediaoutlet.com for current deals on Ritek discs (Yes they are in stock here).
