my m8 has a ps2 with a neo 2.2 chip in it, i just wanted to know if he could play dvdrs on it, and if so wots the booting method for it.

YES HE CAN!!!!! LEARN YOUR STUFF BEFORE LYING ABOUT IT :furious:

But, you have to have GS2 1.9X or GS2 2.0X or Swap Magic discs to boot them.
check cousinfizz.4mg.com it tells you how to do it with the knife method which is the samething as the ea method on neo2.2, so when it tells you to swap with the knife method, then just release the reset button to perform the EA swap.

If its a version 5 ps2 then he can't do the eject trick because the extra from the Neo 2.2 isn't connected on a version 5 ps2.

That is true that he cant boot DVDR with Neo2.2 with a V5, but if it is a V5 then he can still use the knife trick for DVDR. So there is always a way to boot dvdr.
