Alright, I've got a movie on my PC that is in MPEG-1, MPEG-2, and AVI format and I would like to be able to watch it on my PS2. I have tried many things and everytime I load the CD up on my PS2 i get an error saying that I need to put in a PS2 formated disk. I have a CD-R/W drive and plenty of CR-R's. Is there any way to put that movie onto a CD-R and watch it on my PS2 without a modchip or gameshark? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

you do need a modchip or a gs , if u get 1 you will need to burn your movie along with the ps2 media player files onto a disc , also this only supports avi or divx .

Are you absolutely positive that you have to have a modchip or gs? Cuz ive seen a lot of things that say you dont, they just dont tell how to make it without one. Thanks for your help though

positive , there is no way to boot a cdr without either a swap with a gs (knife) or (nosolder modchip) , or a no swap chip. note , alot of places concider a nosolder mod the same as having no mod and you sometimes have to burn a little differently , like the ps2 media player i use a nosolder mod with the gs and i have to fix the lba so my ps2 will boot it
