I wanna start offering these along with the Neo 2.2's I sell.

I'm not sure what I'm looking for though as everyone calls the psx/ps1 chips something different. I've heard things like Multimode, Stealth 4, Stealth 5, Onechip, etc. So which is the "Latest & Greatest" and are the PSX/PS1 chips different? Or can they be used in both consoles?

I know the 1001 can only use the old 4-wire chip. :(
I need the code for the US consoles.

Please let me know what i'm looking for and I should be able to find the code myself.

Thanks,
barracuda

Thanks, I knew about that site, but it doesn't help much.

Is the Multimode 3 the latest psx chip out there? Does it have Stealth coding or is that a different chip altogether??

Is "PS1 No Boot Disk" chip code universal? There is only 1 file in the zip. Is that for all US/Jap/Pal machines??

I might be better off posting in PS2--seems like no one comes here anymore.

I think those codes are for PAL consonls.

For PSX 5001-9001 you want either the stealth 4 or 5. It is an 8 wire chip. As far as I know the 4 and 5 are the same chip just depends whos selling it. I have looked at diagrams and the wire the same.

PSone you also want he Stealth 4 or 5. Same as above. PSone uses 6 wires and is a diffrent code from the 5501-9001 chips.

Hope this helps:)

I got the PS1 chip under control, but PSX chips are gonna drive me insane.

Everywhere I look has a million different diagrams for the 7501 I have.
Isn't there an FAQ for all the psx chips somewhere??
