fridaypassion Feb 27, 2003, 07:01 AM Every time I try to play an avi file through media player it tries to connect to download a codec but then I get a message saying error downloading codec, is there some other way of getting a codec? Is it because I'm running an iffy copy of XP pro? uk_trader Feb 27, 2003, 07:48 AM you need to download the codec from the net m$ dont supply it tpye divx codec in google and youll be able to find it. beardedwonder Feb 27, 2003, 08:15 AM at Kazaa Lite's website (www.k-lite.tk) they have a codec pack you should download that it's got all of the codecs you'll need, Divx, Xvid, 3ivx and loads more. If it is just for playback then you could just install ffdshow instead of divx. |
