Yes, it creates an image from the original on your drive then burns it to the CDR. There's a setting in Nero that you need to check, 'delete image after burning'. In the meantime, you'll need to find the old images and delete them, can't remember where they are off hand, try temp folder or a folder within Nero.

do a search in the find files part for .bin, .cue, and .iso files, they are most likely to be in one of these formats.

You should try searching for files with a .nrg extension and deleting them as this is Nero's default image file format name....

Go to start>search>All files and folders>what size is it>specify size> over 500 MB. This is for XP, If using something else, you need to tell us your OS

not yet, First I'd run virus check I recently got a stinkin' kazaa virus and it made my comp run s l o w. Took 8 hrs to run virus check but fixed the prob. I'd also d/l a HDD checking utility from maxtor or Western Digital to check your hdd for errors before reformatting. If you can't find them on those sites I'll go find them and give you a link let me know.

Yep, they are *.nrg files. Once you've selected disc copy, have a look in the 'Image' tab. That'll show you were the image is stored and is also where you need to check the 'delete image after burning' option.

it took norton 13 hours 46 mins to scan my computer for viruses, is something wrong with that

I would say so, I did a full system scan last night with Norton 2002, 2 80Gb drives and it took about 30 mins.

Did you find the nrg image files ?

YES!!!! That's the exact szme thing that happened to me, though. It founf some Kazaa virus that was slowing it all sown, and it also had to do w/ some fake Norton AV virus definition file that was 52 megs large! everytime it looked throught the defs, it had to go through that, so if you find that, can it. it was something like VAV2343.tmp, just search all files and folders for *nav*.tmp and you may find it. No guarantees, tho!
