Ive recently reinstalled XP on a older system of mine, originally it would power off by itself, but since the reinstall it goes to the "it is now safe to turn off your computer" screen and i have to switch off manually with the power button.Its not a big problem but just wanted to know if theres a setting i can change that ive overlooked which will resolve this.:)

Correct me if I am wrong, but isnt it hardware specific? Maybe your motherboard doesnt support that...

mines the same put xp on when i power off just get screen saying safe to turn pc off now :( but b4 it shut its self down i would be interested to know if there is a setting you have to adjust to make it shut its self down,not a big deal but nice yo know :)
