just recently got a cable modem and i wanted to beable to set up my LAN so that all the computers would beable to access the net at the same time.
I can do this perfectly well thru a regular modem connection, but am having trouble doing it with the new cable modem
anyone beable to help me out with this?

what i did was installed a 2nd ethernet card into my computer
hooked that one into the HUB, and used windows to configure it to share the network and internet access
after some fuddling,this is working
my question is, will the cable company beable to tell that another computer is going thru the main one for net access, or can they only see the main one as it is the one that is directly connected to the net?
just curious, i'm just starting to get into this stuff

No, ot's not a problem, most cable ISPs support home networking.

You will need a router. To see which ones are more liked/used post a thread in the consumer forum.
