They all use the same type of cable (80-conductor/40-pin). It's compatible with all ata66/100/133 devices. Matrix_581 Mar 02, 2003, 05:16 PM so therers no diffrence in speed between 66/100/133? gambit_360 Mar 02, 2003, 05:50 PM There IS a difference in speed, but it has nothing to do with the cable. Perhaps you were using regular ata33 cables (with 40 wires) before. That's why you're getting the huge speed increase. lemolelly Mar 02, 2003, 06:40 PM I am bit confused here. This site is selling 100ATA & 133 ATA the 133 is on order 90 days but there is loads of the 100's. So what is the difference then? http://www.ebuyer.com/customer/products/index.html?action=c2hvd19wcm9kdWN0X292ZXJ2aWV3&product_uid=36350 http://www.ebuyer.com/customer/products/index.html?action=c2hvd19wcm9kdWN0X292ZXJ2aWV3&product_uid=36347 littlejack Mar 02, 2003, 06:59 PM Non of the other sites list differnt cables, they all seem to sell the same cable for 100/133. I don't believe it's the cable making it faster, unless as gambit_360 stated, you were using standard ATA33 cables. |
