Hi, Just upgraded my CPU to a XP 2000, could someone give me a pointer as to what CPU temp I should be getting under load (Seti running 24/7).
Mine is currently 62.1 degrees, with the case sides off, just the same as with them on, it was 70 degrees, and causing problems (BSOD, freezing etc), I added some case fans, which got it down to 62 degrees.
I think this is still too high. I'm using a good quality copper heatsink (but maybe not good enough) :furious:

Mine runs about 45 degrees full load mate with just one case fan and all panels on. I recommend a zalman cpu unit and buy some decent thermal grease.

32 degrees, full load. water cooled :D

before water though mine ran around low 50's under load. I've noticed These do tend to run hotter than other XP's , but yours does seem a little high.

Hi m8

51c under load, make sure you have some good thermal grease/paste,perhaps look at the h/sink/fan what rating cpu is the recommendation....

47c full load with a AX-7 heatsink and like smiffy280361 said are you using thermal grease or the crappy pad?

You need to look at your heatsink and fan, they are either not making full contact, or they are simply not powerful enough to extract the heat away from the CPU.

I've ordered a Cooler Master, I'll see if that does the trick:)

try somthing called CPU idle

droped my temp by 7c (on a AMD duron 1.2) now runs at 30c idle; and a max of 45 load
