I have here a Maxtor 80gb portable hard drive. It is housed in a me-320 series case which has a usb 2.0 connection. My problem is that I dont know much about usb 2.0. I have just regular usb ports in my computer which is running win 98se. When I install the drivers for the housing case, it installes usb 2.0 drivers and then i cant read the hard drive. It all happens automatically. Can anyone help?

You should install the driver first before plugging in the USB device, the USB hub will not see any USB2 devices and should automatically install the USB1.1 drivers instead.
