Traxmaster2002 Mar 06, 2003, 06:31 AM Audiograbber from http://www.audiograbber.com-us.net now has the facility to extract mp3+cdg files straight from standalone cdg discs missing out the bin file extraction stage under cdrwin.
Where as cdrwin only appears to work well with plextor drives, audiograbber aims to work with any drive that can read raw subcodes.
If anyone can test this program then please do so and post back if you have success or failure and what drives you used.
Using audiograbber should also defeat any copy protections.

abbykayla Mar 06, 2003, 05:23 PM I have audiograbber and for me it was a waste of money I've tried it with my plextor, Pioneer, and Yamaha cd writer drives. I can rip regular music great but does not work with karaoke. I called tech support and got my money back.
daplaya Mar 07, 2003, 03:26 AM strange it works perfect for me....
what problems was you having ..???
and what version..???
moondjno1 Mar 07, 2003, 08:40 PM It,s Mustad At Karaoke Best Tool Out There Fast Reliable & You Can Name All Your Tracks Easily, You Can Do Anything With It. Must Be Version 1.82 Previouse Versions Dont Support Karaoke
vinniedub Mar 07, 2003, 09:39 PM ok moon.............wanna translate that for those of us who don't speak.............er......moonian?
moondjno1 Mar 10, 2003, 12:41 PM Ok Vinnie Which Bit Did You Not Understand, You Just Fire Your Original Cd In Ya Drive . When You Get All The Tracks Come Up , Tick Which Ones You Want, Or Select All Of Them , Then Click Individualy On Track Box , It Turns Blue , Type In The Song & Artist For All You Have Selected, Then Go To Toolbar , Click On Cd , It Says Karaoke Pick Wether You Want To Make A Bin File Or MP3+g Or Whatever ,. As Soon As You Have Clicked On It It Starts Converting Straight From CD Rom Drive Into MP3+G Or Whatever You Told It Too. When Its Finished You Have All Your Files Named In MP3+G Or Whatever You Chose To Do . It's Faster Than The Toolz Util It Names Both Files But You Only Have To Type One In. . It's Just So Much Easier Too Use, & Faster Straight From Your Rom, & THey Are Perfect Too M8 . Is That Ok For Starters As I Am Sheit At Typing .
vinniedub Mar 10, 2003, 07:39 PM  sorry mate just pulling your leg (it was the typing) Good info though cheers mate........... now if I could just get a hold of audiograbber 1.82...........
vinniedub Mar 10, 2003, 09:27 PM tried the free version which only allows you to rip half of the tracks (which the program itself chooses) from any disc. this is supposed to be the only difference from the full version. I had the CD+G option and chose to rip to mp3+G, however none of the tracks would play with WinCD. Are there specific settings you could help me out with? the error message I was getting refered to id3v tags (I think)
abbykayla Mar 11, 2003, 12:34 PM i have version 1.82 and I keep getting errors when working with karaoke discs even tech support was unable to help so if anyone could help let me know I have the full version if anyone wants it.
moondjno1 Mar 11, 2003, 04:28 PM Vinnie Try This Excuse My Secretarial Skills , When You Open Audiograbber Up , Go To Settings . The Top Box Is Your Destination Folder Where Your MP3+g Files Will Be Converted To, So Make A Folder In C Drive Called Karaoke , Then Browse To It In A Grabber , Ok So You Can Find Them Nice And Easy Now. Next Uncheck The Files Apart From Track Name . Now Click On MP3 On Top Bar Make Shure You Tick Direct Rip To MP3 Box . This Will Make A Grabber Rip Straight From Your Disc To Hardrive Without Need For Bin File. I Have My Other SEttings On Dual Stereo High Quality Wether Thats Best I Dont Know (Works For Me) . Back To Main Page Then In AGrabber . All Your Files Are Ticked Ok . Put Your Mouse Pointer On Track One & Click On It To Make It Tutn Blue , Now Type In The Track First Then Song Title Then Artist . Go To Track Two Do Same And So On And So On (phew ) When You Have Done Them All . Go To Top Bar Click On Cd When The Menue Opens Click On Grab CDG TRacks Karaoke ---- Grab To.CDG & Compressed File . Once You Have Clicked On This Part It Automaticly Goes To Your CD Rom And Starts Ripping To Mp3+g , The Files Are In Your Karaoke Folder You Made . If You Have More Than One cd rom, You Will Have To Set It At The Begining In Setings As Your Default Ripper I Forgot About That Bit. You Should Now Have No Tag Problems seeeeeeeee Ya
moondjno1 Mar 11, 2003, 04:33 PM Vinnie Send Me Your E- Mail Addy And I'll Send You A Present M8. Beans Someone Has Scared The Crap Out Of Williamh I Cant Put It Up On His Server , As You Will Probably Know It's Closed.
abbykayla Mar 11, 2003, 07:35 PM i got audiograbber to work finally but it is very slow about 3 minutes per song. Any suggestions on how to make this go faster please reply
steve54 Mar 11, 2003, 08:03 PM think you all may find its just as quick to use cdrwin and mp3g tools.tried audio grabber the other day and it may be a bit quicker(not much)so i will personally stick to the old tried and tested way that we all know what and how we are doing.
polarstar Mar 12, 2003, 06:32 AM once you learn how to use audio grabber it's brilliant

vinniedub Mar 14, 2003, 05:49 AM I don't have an e-mail addy which will take large attachments right now, as, unfortunately I'm no longer with blueyonder :-( so the only way to go for anything over 1 Mb is via the TRUSTCLIP site. Unless anyone can let me know of any other e-mail service which allows large attachments
