Hi all,

When turning the CD laser pot on my PS2 it broke off (the silver part), now my PS2 with magic chip 3 will not boot backups only original games, can I still turn the bit thats left where the pot broke off from.

I was having trouble with DVD-r backups thats what I was trying to sort out, does the DVD pot only work for films or does that adjust the reading of DVD backups?

Also will adjusting the white cog help?

Thanks in advance,

Gary

This happen to me along time ago. I first thought of finding a resistor to solder in place but that was going to be a big headache. So I just bought a new laser smartest thing I did. I recommend you do the same thing. Its a simple install and works great. If you cannot access the BST forums the other best place is The #1 auction site online! Hope this helps!
