hey guys...

i just got a dvd burner and finally started burning dvdrs for my ps2 w/ neo4. cdrs have been working great for a while now but i can't seem to load any dvdrs. originals work fine. i'm trying to boot with the original game or dmc demo and neither work. it sounds like it's struggling to read the game. they're burnt on verbatims so i'm hoping the media is ok.

also, i tried the dvdr boot method trying to boot up another original. this doesn't work either. it sounds different, but it still sounds like it's struggling to read the disc. it runs for a while then just returns to the browser screen. does anyone else have this problem where they can't load up originals using the boot method with another original?

any suggestions are greatly appreciated. thanks.

damn i figured out what was wrong. the drive didn't seem to be shutting properly or something? i just tried booting up with different variables, and the one thing that seemed to work was when i exchange the disc, rather than waiting for it to pull the tray back i pushed it in some and then it eventually pulled the tray back and that seemed to get it going. maybe because it closed completely?

now another question is why the freak is it doing that? also if i keep pushing in my tray manually before it takes automatically will this mess up the pulleys and eventually the tray won't work properly?

i was pretty sure my neo4 install was on the money but maybe i was wrong? i'm not too familiar with the tray mechanism so again any help would be great.
