I was asked today which is the best ISP for evening\weekend or all day connection in the UK, she may want to use newsgroups eventually which may rule out some ISPs.
Any sugestions would be welcome .

As no answer yet, I would say Freeserve is your best bet right now, £6.99 for the first 3 months is very good value for money, their connection rate is high and speed is reasonable.

Your better of taking a look here (http://www.adslguide.org.uk/isp_compare.asp) as they have a good comparison facility as well as reviews etc

Blueyonder by far the best no limits at all. Never any problems connecting and decent connection speed too £12 a month.

Not sure but I have my phone and tv from them too whether that affects the price or availability Im not sure.

Thanks for the info, I'll pass it on.

The woman who asked about this has cable television with Telewest comunications (owners of Blueyonder), as people seem to speak well of them I'll probably suggest she goes for blueyonder.

Thanks again .
