just got one today....fujitel 2818...the guy put a cd in it and made it play cdg right before my eyes.....the cd actually wrote to the chip inside....he called it flashing the chip to recognise it......hes working on a flash for me this week to enable it to play mp3+g straight from cd........i gotta drop him a mp3+g disc off and he will get to work.....couldnt believe what i saw....as new they dont recognise cdg, but 20 seconds later they do after the disc modified the player...........got 2 mics sockets on front 2 inches high very nice, echo, mp3, vcd,svcd, plays copies rewritables........the mp3+g flash when done will be well cool....i cant wait

Did that bloke succeed in the flash (to read mp3+g ) ????

is there a price on this model.....and has he flashed it yet for mp3g...if so i can see him getting many sales :-)

still waiting myself actually.....i give him my number dropped off a cd with some mp3+g on and so far nowt off him as yet..but its only 3 days since i seen him.

you can flash almost any piece of hardware but the trick is getting the software to do it (or should i say writing the software)

so does this dvd player on bid up tv play cdg when you get it, if not - when we get one who here has (or can get) a copy of the flash cd?

and if he can flash it to play mp3+g and you get a copy of the cd i'll be in the queue for a copy.

one more thing, anyone who has ever flashed their bios on their motherboard knows it is a tricky operation, you're re writing the chip and if you do it wrong or theres a power surge theres no way to go back you got a dud.

and flashing in public places can get you arrested LOL

This one played CDG straight out of the box
