Hey guys, i'm new here, and was wondering if you could help me out with a problem. And yes, I did a search before posting, but could not find any info at all.
I just bought a Cendyne 105 unit, and no matter what I out in the unit it reads the disc as an audio disc. If I do a properties on the drive, it tells me there is 1.99 gigs used. All my burning programs tell me there's already stuff on the disc, and I will have to make it multi-session.
The discs are blank! I just bought them! And it even does it with the dvd-rw that came with the drive!
Please help.

Sounds like either a firmware issue or that the unit is defective. What software are you using BTW as Nero has been known to cause trouble for a lot of people (the software that comes with the burner i.e. Sonic My DVD and Nero Express aren't the greatest).

Actually, I was using Nero. I uninstalled it, and am still having the same problem. I have the drive setup as reccomended, as the secondary master and nothing else on that channel.
Even a pioneer dvd-r I tried is having the same problem.

i think i had the same problem. Maybe not exact. Everytime I would put in a blank DVD-R winamp for some reason would open. But I didn't have any trouble using it with Nero Express. I've upgraded to 1.21 firmware. And I pretty much only use Riteks, so everythings been good.
