I have just upgraded to Windows 2000 and now cannot download from mIRC as it says that the file type is ignored. Where can i set what files windows 2000 will accept?

It's not win2000 that's causing your problem. It's mIRC.

Go to mIRC options -> DCC -> Folders.
Disable DCC Ignore and don't forget to uncheck "turn ignore back in...". Or you can leave DCC Ignore on and just remove the extensions you want to download from the ignore list.

Thanks for the reply mate, should have checked the download options first. Will set the ignore.
