I have ripped The Panic Room and it works fine on me dvd player. Gave it to me and it works but there is no sound for some reason. What is wrong with that. Could be the disc or the way it was been ripped cos it works fine on mine

If you have put dts audio and 5.1 audio on the copy and your m8's not watching the film using a dts decoder (amp) then tell him to press then audio button on his dvd remote while watching the film.Then 5.1 will be displayed at the top right of the screen and he should have sound.....

What about if i have only ripped DTS sound from the movie

If you only ripped dts then you need a dts decoder (amp) to listen to the sound.
Best thing to do is rip it again with 5.1 (6 channel) sound then you will be ok...
